ALL ABOUT BLACK GIRL WAISTED
Meet me, Kris, the creative, dope AF, crafty, unicorn mommy, strong black woman behind Black Girl Waisted. What started as another craft to get into quickly became the life-affirming passion you see today. The ancient practice of making waist beads has granted me the opportunity to really connect with my West African roots, and dig deep into myself and my spirituality. I went from being chronically stressed with no outlet to grounding myself and playing my singing bowl for relief. I also learned how to be fully present, and how to own who I am, yep all thanks to waist beads.
It's my mission through Black Girl Waisted to introduce, educate, empower, and love my beautiful sisters that are out there. I was seeking self-love, cultural ties, grounding, respect and adornment for my mind and body and I want to help you do the same.
